Hollymount School is proud to be part of the Black Pear Trust, a Multi Academy Trust based in Worcestershire.
The Trust is led by a Board of Trustees, who hold overall responsibility for its schools and are the accountable body for the Trust.
Each school has its own Local Governing Committee (LGC), working closely with the Trust Board under a clear scheme of delegation.
Our Local Governing Committee plays an important role in supporting the school and ensuring strong local governance. Their key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction in line with the Trust vision
• Holding leaders to account for academic performance, attendance, behaviour and safeguarding procedures in their school.
• Overseeing stakeholder engagement; children and young people, parents, local community, school colleagues.
We also have lead Governors who focus on safeguarding and inclusion.
The Committee meets four times a year and Governors regularly visit the school and attend events. This helps them gain a clear understanding of the school’s strengths and priorities, so they can provide effective support and challenge.
