All the children received a £1 voucher to take home and spend on a WBD book or use towards a book of their choice. The special WBD books are available from bookshops and most supermarkets.
During the WBD assembly children thought about their favourite book characters and sand the ‘I Love Books’ song. Listen to the children sing and retell favourite stories here:
Year 3 & 4
Children wrote book reviews of their favourite books and shared them with the rest of the class.
Year 5 & 6
Year 6 children had been working on a Roald Dahl reading project this term; they had to read as many Roald Dahl books as possible and write a review of each one. For World Book Day each child had to nominate their favourite book and give reasons for their choice. They created a presentation which was shared with the school during a special assembly.
