The Power Of YET!

We have been celebrating the Power of YET!

I can’t do it YET . . . .

I don’t know the answer YET . . . .
I don’t know how to do it YET . . . .

but I will soon!

Miss Parker held a special assembly to start the Power of Yet!  The children watched a film about the ‘superhumans’ competing in the Rio Paralympics and are aiming to follow their example and keep trying.

Each week a Power of Yet badge will be given to one person in each class who has shown great resilience!  Who will be first?

The Messy Success Award

Following on from the Power of Yet, this half term Miss Parker introduced the ‘Messy Success Award’.  The path to success is rarely straight forward and, during a special assembly, Miss Parker told us about how David Beckham and JK Rowling became successful.

David Beckham had to practise daily to become good at football while JK Rowling went to 12 publishers before she found one who was willing to publish the Harry Potter books.  The journey to success is messy and may take a long time with many setbacks on the way.

To celebrate the children who keep trying, even when things are difficult one child in each class will receive the Messy Success Award each week, and will receive a certificate and a bendy pencil.
