Hollymount School is committed to developing educational visits and varied experiences for all pupils and greatly values out-of-classroom learning. We have two EVCs (Educational Visits Co-Ordinators), Miss Pritchard and Miss Amos, who are responsible for overseeing all visits.
Children at Hollymount School have regular opportunities to develop and extend their learning outside of the classroom. As well as using the school’s grounds (including a dedicated Forest School) visits are organised to local places of worship, high schools, community centres, libraries and nearby businesses.
Over the year all children from Reception upwards are taken to swimming and gymnastic lessons in Worcester. Trips to more distant places, such as the Malvern Hills, Cadbury World, Dudley Zoo and London also form part of the children’s education.
Children across all the year groups tell us that experiences out of school are very important to them:
“I like going on trips and staying for after school clubs.” FL Y6
“TRIPS ARE GREAT BECAUSE YOU GO TO NEW PLACES AND DISCOVER NEW THINGS.” FA Y6
“I love going on the whole school trips – Legoland, Dudley Zoo and more!” JK Y5
