2015/2016 Football matches

In September, the netball team were presented with a new netball kit to wear at inter school matches. They all look very smart and are very proud of the new kit.  Take a look:

This term there are 18 Year 5 & 6 girls who attend netball practise every Monday after school and who also practise regularly at lunchtimes.  Their match play has improved tremendously and they are now passing accurately, spacing well and getting most of their shots in.

A mixed Year 5 & 6 team played Oasis Academy and St Georges Catholic School and won their matches 6-1 and 5-0.

In another fixture, the Year 5 team beat Oasis 3-0 but lost to St Joseph’s Year 6 team.  They played exceptionally well in both matches but were unable to match the accuracy of the St Joseph’s shooters.

The Year 4s have been practising at lunchtimes this term and they have a match with Fairfield very soon.

Hollymount School has started playing tag rugby matches this year under rookie manager Mr Harrold. Their first match was against Carnforth, formerly Fairfield School. They played brilliantly, with brothers Patrick and Jack, both shining. Jack scored an amazing 5 tries and Robert scoring 3. Guarav also scored to complete a brilliant team performance. The final score was 9-3 to Hollymount School.
